The Raku Sticks & Stones Youth Cremation Urns are hand made through a fascinating process. Raku Urns make a beautiful representation for a special loved one, the colors and beauty of each urn are as individual as each of us. And they are made in a way that no average ceramic urn is made. First the ceramic urn is heated in a kiln until it reaches 2000 degrees, then it is pulled out carefully and plunged into a pit of wood shavings, instantly igniting. Overnight the urn will smolder and what is created is a memorial filled with radiant flashes of color. The potter, the earth and the flames shape the urn, the way life shapes us.
Size & Measurements:
The Raku Sticks & Stones Youth Urn measures 5 1/2" - 6" wide, and are 100 cubic inches, for a child weighting 100 lbs or under. Each are topped with an attractive metal stick and stone design. The urn can be sealed with white glue.
Engraving Details:
An Name Plate can be included to personalize the urn. We can engrave up to 3 lines of text engraving on a pewter bottom name plate. Here is an example of what we can engrave:
